The new Brandeis Home Page: Analysis and Interpretation

On December 10, 2007, Brandeis University rolled out a new website design:

http://www.brandeis.edu

This space is open for conversation about the aesthetic and ideological dimensions of the site. What messages about the institution are explicitly or implicitly communicated through the site's design and content?

Please post thoughtful, specific, and constructive comments, by clicking on the "discussion" tab above. Please indicate the precise url of the page which you are referring to.

This wikispace is primarly for faculty and students in Cultural Production, but all others are most welcome to participate. Please be respectful of others and do not delete another person's content without their explicit permission.

In discussion of the Brandeis website, I would ask everyone to be respectful of the feelings of the Communications team that developed the site, all of whom are eager to hear constructive criticism and to improve the site.
