Working Group on Asian and Asian Diaspora Studies


This informal group of faculty and students, based atBrandeisUniversity (but with members and interlocutors elsewhere)shareinterests in the comparative study of societies andcommunitiesthroughout Asia and the Asian diasporas. Our interestsinclude: publicculture, trans-local flows of cosmpolitanism, health andsocialmedicine, mass media, the arts, gender politics, internationalandcommunity development, comparative sexuality and sexual identities,andcomparative ritual and cosmology.
